security features in DeltaV systems.”

The Achilles Certification Program, developed by Wurldtech Labs and its partners, provides a benchmark for certifying

the security of industrial controllers. The program evaluates the security of industrial controllers and offers the most complete,

accurate, and reliable security information available. Level 1 certification targets layers 2 through 4 of the OSI model and

includes protocols such as Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, and UDP.

The DeltaV system incorporates a defense-in-depth strategy that combines multiple layers of protection, creating rings of

security. Each ring acts as an obstacle that an intruder must bypass, with defenses activated within each layer to isolate the

DeltaV network from potential threats originating on the plant LAN. This security strategy aims to tightly control user and

network access, safeguarding controllers from attack.
