The GE Fanuc IC693ACC307 is an I/O Bus Terminator Plug. This component is shipped with every baseplate. This plug has a resistor pack, which is physically mounted inside of a connector. In any expansion system where several baseplates are cabled together, the I/O expansion bus must be correctly terminated.
To do this, users can install the I/O Bus Terminator Plug in the last expansion baseplate – it can only be used in the last baseplate. If users are operating an expansion system with only one expansion baseplate, the I/O bus can be terminated by installing the 50 foot (15 meter) I/O Expansion cable as the last cable.
