Details

Model number IS200ECTBG1ABB is one of the Excitation Contact Terminal Boards produced by General

Electric as part of the Mark VI series. This model is one of the units within the first group of ECTB models.

The two groups are ECTBG1 and ECTBG2. The IS200ECTBG1ABBmodel, as part of the ECTBG1 group,

can only be used in redundant mode. Each board, no matter if in the first or second group of ECTB models, the

board will contain two trip contact outputs, which will drive a customer lockout, as well as four Form-C relay

contact outputs, controlled by an attached EMIO board. There are also auxiliary contact inputs, six in total,

which will be wetted (powered) with 70 volts of direct current from the ECTB board. When being

used redundantly, as this model will, the power will come from M1 and M2 power supplies.

The primary manual that will be used when operating the IS200ECTBG1ABB model is the

GEI-100457, but as that model is not readily available, the best manual to use, at least for information

on the model, and some of its contact inputs and outputs, is the GEH-6632 Instruction Guide. The

GEH-6632 guide references the other boards in the Mark VI model that the IS200ECTBG1AAA unit can be used with.

The GEH-6632 Manual will also indicate what module the ECTB receives power from,

which will be the EPSM module, which has the M1 and M2 power supplies.

Freequently Asked Questions

What modules is the IS200ECTBG1ABB board used with?
There are a number of boards/modules that the IS200ECTBG1ABB unit can be used with. It will work alongside the EPCT, EXTB, and EACF Input-Output (I/O) terminal boards. The IS200ECTBG1ABB board will be managed by the EMIO board alongside the previously mentioned boards.
What are the 52G and 86G contact inputs on the IS200ECTBG1ABB model used for?
The 52G and 86G contact inputs on the board will be monitored and powered by the IS200ECTBG1ABB board. The power provided to these two contact inputs is 70 VDC (volts of direct current). The 86G input is considered a lockout input and will be used during the typical operation of the board. The 52G contact input will give the proper online status to the attached generator.
What are the four general-purpose Form-C contact outputs on the ECTB model used for?
The Form-C contact outputs are used for outputs such as the 94EX and 30EX outputs, as well as others. Each relay used alongside these outputs requires a coil current, and the status of a relay auxiliary contact will also be monitored.
What is the primary function of the IS200ECTBG1ABB?
The IS200ECTBG1ABB Excitation Contact Terminal Board is designed to interface with the excitation system of a generator, facilitating connections between the control system and the excitation system to ensure proper operation and control of the generator's voltage and current.
What types of connections does the IS200ECTBG1ABB support?
The terminal board supports various contact points for connecting control signals and feedback loops, allowing for effective monitoring and control of the generator's excitation system.
